Alia - The Age of Exploration
Alia is the largest central region on its continental plate, as well as the most habitable one. Being a coastal region with few mountain ranges, humanity has flourished in the relative lack of natural hazards.
The first nomadic tribes that wandered to Alia quickly recognized it’s untapped potential, and quickly settled down. With pioneering heroes fighting off and exploring the unknown, the region experienced rapid urbanization. Over the course of the past 150 years, several villages and cities arose, and in the middle of it all lies Sanctus Missa, the gathering point of everything holy.
Just outside Sanctus Missa lies the Aurum Wall, built as a two-way defense.
With the Aurum wall blocking the passage main passage to Sanctus Missa, most pilgrimages went through Kentraan, which soon became the capital of Alia. In the forest north of Kentraan lies Hulderplatz, the mysterious forest belonging to the fey.
Along the coast, closest to Kentraan, lies Genosia and Saihpix, two rural trade- and shipping villages. It provides the only safe path to Narmetch, a city based around foreign trade, and north of Narmetch lies Dovrekall, an Orcish village unexplored by humans.
